FIRST

Once you decide you are going to invest in yourself and join the Mermaid Squad, we will set up a consultation. A consultation takes about thirty to forty five minutes. In the consultation we will go over your hair goals, how to properly care for your extensions and pricing. I will also install an extension to show you exactly how it feels/looks. If you decide to move forward we will then color match the extensions to your hair.

NEXT

Once your mermaid hair arrives we will set up an appointment for installation. At the install your hair is sectioned and the extensions are applied one by one. A section of your hair, that is equivalent to the size of one extension strand, is thread through a small undetectable bead. The extension is then placed in the bead and the bead is clamped down, holding the extension in place. This is done 100-150 times, depending on how many bundles of hair are needed. Once all of the extensions are in I will cut and razor blend them to give them the movement and natural look of your own hair. We then do a beautiful style and a mini photoshoot and you’ll be on your way with your new gorgeous locks!

LAST

After about 2 months your extensions will need to be readjusted since they will grow out with your natural hair. At this point you will need a “maintenance” At a maintenance I will reopen the bead, take the extension out, comb out all of your regrowth, (regrowth is all of the hair you are used to seeing in your brush or in the shower will now be in the bead and needs to be taken out) move the bead back to the root of the hair, reinsert the extension and clamp the new bead down. This makes the extensions like new all over again. Unlike other extensions that are used once and tossed out, your new Mermaid Hair can be used many times over again!
